MY MISSION

Barbara Jo has become a popular fixture on the acoustic music scene in and around Colorado. Her Music Therapy group, The Hippie Buckaroos, was named among the Best 10 Cover Bands in Colorado by Westword Magazine in 2016. In addition to her role as performer, Kammer is an active music therapist working with elders in retirement communities. She also offers experience, strength and hope to those suffering from alcoholism and addiction.

I know first hand all about addiction.  I struggled for over 40 years before “surrendering“ and going into treatment at Harmony Foundation in Estes Park, Colorado.  The month-long program at Harmony gave me my jump start into sobriety.  I was able to give up “the fight” as I say in my song, “The Winning Side.“  I surrendered to win!

My second original song, “Big Blue Sky In The Morning,” was inspired while walking my beloved dogs around Waneka Lake on a beautiful Colorado Fall day. As if by Grace, the words and music started filling my heart and head!

I am living, breathing, and SINGING proof that recovery—one day at a time—is possible. My mission through my music is to offer hope to all who suffer with addiction or have a loved one in need.

I am available to provide inspiration and comfort through music.  If you have a facility or an event where I could possibly help, please reach out and contact me
